Thanksgiving has its own video genre: dancing turkeys sent to the family chat. AI changed the joke. Now the turkey is you.
The e-card turkeys
Animated Thanksgiving cards with dancing cartoon turkeys have been around for years, and e-card sites still run whole Thanksgiving catalogs. The format is simple: a silly bird, a song and a "Happy Thanksgiving".
Searches peak on the day itself
Google Trends data for the US shows searches for "thanksgiving ai video" peaking on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. Half of the season's searches happened by that day, and the day after they were almost gone. People decide on the morning of the holiday, so the video has to be quick to make.
What people are looking for
In October 2026 Google suggests "happy thanksgiving ai video" and "turkey ai video". The version that gets the most laughs puts you inside the bird: you sit on the couch, puff up into a full-size turkey and strut across the room.
4 ideas for this year
