Meme generator FAQ
Is this meme generator free?
Yes. Editing templates and downloading memes is free with no watermark. AI memes are free up to 3 a day without an account and 10 a day when signed in.
Do I need to sign up?
No sign-up is needed to edit templates or to make your first AI memes. Signing in only raises the daily AI limit.
Are my pictures uploaded?
Not in text mode: templates and your own pictures are drawn in your browser and saved straight to your device. AI mode sends only your text idea to the image model.
Can I make a meme with my own picture?
Yes. Press "Use my own picture", choose a PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF still, and add the top and bottom text.
How does the AI meme generator work?
Describe the joke in a sentence and pick a style. An image model draws a new picture, optionally with a caption, and it opens in the editor so you can change the text.
What font do memes use?
Classic memes use Impact in white capitals with a black outline. The editor uses it automatically and falls back to a similar bold font on phones without Impact.
Can I turn a meme into a video?
Yes. The viral video memes are TrendSwap templates: upload one photo and get a vertical MP4 with the original sound. Video credit packs are one-time and never expire.
Can I use the memes commercially?
Classic templates belong to their owners and are offered for personal, non-commercial meme making. For ads, use your own pictures or AI images and check the rights yourself.
Meme templates belong to their original creators and are shown for commentary and parody. To request removal of an image, email support@trendswap.app.
