2. Types of Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum necessary information required to provide, bill, and support our creative video generation services.

2.1 User-Provided Imagery & Creative Inputs

To generate custom video clips, you provide:

  • Portrait Photographs: A single clear still image of an adult face uploaded directly through our studio.
  • Generation Parameters: Crop preferences, framing coordinates, chosen scene templates (such as Burning Bridges, Bulin 47, Topo Gigio, or Zombie Couple), and selected resolution (480p, 720p, or 1080p).

2.2 Generated Media Outputs

When you initiate a generation request, we process and store:

  • Rendered Video Files: The synthesized short video clip (MP4 format).
  • Previews & Generation Metadata: Static preview thumbnails, timestamp records, resolution tags, and job completion status logs.

2.3 Account & Authentication Data

When you register an account or sign in:

  • Contact Details: Your email address and display name.
  • Third-Party Sign-In Information: If you sign in via Google or supported single-sign-on providers, we receive your account identifier, email address, and profile name necessary to authenticate you.
  • Session Tokens: Secure session cookies to keep you signed in.

2.4 Purchases & Credit Transaction Records

When you purchase video credit passes:

  • Order Details: Purchased pack type (Single Pass, Trio Pass, or Party Pass), transaction reference numbers, currency amount, and purchase timestamps.
  • Credit Balance History: Records of credit additions, deductions per generation (25, 50, or 100 credits), and automated fail-safe credit returns.
  • No Raw Card Storage: TrendSwap does not collect or store your raw payment card numbers, CVV codes, or expiration dates. Payments are securely processed through certified, PCI-DSS compliant payment processors (such as Stripe).

2.5 Technical & Usage Data

When you browse our website:

  • Device & Network Information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and language settings.
  • Usage Statistics: Page interaction timestamps, error logs, and referral headers.

3. Face Data, Photos & Creative Video Processing

We treat portrait imagery and personal likeness with strict care and clear boundaries:

  • Purpose-Bound Usage: When you use our studio, the uploaded image includes human faces. These images are used solely and exclusively for the generation of your requested AI video drops and creative visual effects.
  • Temporary Server Processing: Uploaded images are stored on our secure servers to process your video generation and enable studio session recovery. Temporary computational caches used during cloud inference are cleared promptly upon job completion.
  • Trusted Third-Party Rendering Providers: To perform generative video synthesis, images and generation parameters may be processed via trusted third-party AI rendering providers who are contractually bound not to retain, sell, or misuse any data.
  • No Biometric Surveillance: We do not collect or process facial recognition data or biometric identifiers for surveillance, identity tracking, or profiling purposes.
  • No Public Model Training: We do not use your personal portrait photographs or generated videos to train, retrain, or fine-tune public foundational AI models without your express permission.
  • Consent for Creative Use: By using the upload feature in the AI Studio, you consent to this limited and temporary use of your image strictly for creative video generation purposes.

4. Third-Party AI Processors & Service Providers

To provide scalable, high-performance AI video generation, we collaborate with trusted third-party service providers:

4.1 Third-Party AI Processors

  • Role in Service Delivery: Specialized cloud GPU clusters and generative video model providers that execute the AI synthesis pipeline.
  • What We Share: We share only the minimum necessary information required for video rendering—specifically, your uploaded portrait image and the selected template parameters.
  • Data Minimization & De-Identification: We do not share your sensitive personal identifiers (such as your account ID, email address, real name, or billing details) with third-party AI processors. Transmitted data is de-identified where technically feasible.

4.2 Supporting Infrastructure Providers

  • Cloud Storage & CDN: Enterprise cloud storage providers (such as Cloudflare R2 / AWS S3) to securely host uploaded assets and completed video files with end-to-end encryption.
  • Payment Processors: Secure payment gateways (such as Stripe) that process payments and enforce fraud prevention.
  • Authentication & Email: Secure identity frameworks and transactional email providers (such as Better-Auth and Resend) for account sign-in and service updates.

5. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your information strictly for legitimate business and operational purposes:

  1. To Provide the Service: To render your requested AI videos, maintain your media library, and display your video history in My videos.
  2. To Manage Your Account & Credits: To maintain your profile, track credit balances, and automatically restore credits if a generation job encounters an error.
  3. To Provide Customer Support: To investigate failed jobs, answer technical inquiries, and process requests under our Refund Policy.
  4. To Ensure Security & Prevent Abuse: To protect our website from automated attacks, unauthorized scraping, fraudulent payments, and violations of our content restrictions.
  5. To Comply with Legal Obligations: To maintain financial ledgers and tax records required by applicable regulations.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

TrendSwap uses cookies and browser storage technologies to maintain platform functionality:

  • Essential Session Cookies: We use secure session cookies to verify your identity when you sign in, as well as to preserve guest upload ownership prior to checkout.
  • Local Storage: The AI Studio stores lightweight configuration preferences (such as your active scene template or framing guide) in your browser’s local storage to prevent loss of work if you refresh the page. This metadata does not contain raw image binaries.

You can adjust your browser settings to decline cookies; however, doing so may prevent you from logging in, preserving guest generations, or accessing purchased video credits.

7. Data Retention & User Deletion Controls

7.1 Self-Service Video & Media Deletion

We provide full self-service privacy controls over your creative assets:

  • Direct Video Deletion: You can permanently delete any generated video clip, failed job, or video asset directly from your library in My videos (/videos) at any time. Initiating deletion permanently removes the video files and preview assets from our active cloud storage.
  • Studio Portraits: You can remove unused uploaded portrait images directly within the AI Studio.
  • Permanent Effect: Once you delete an asset through your account interface, the action is irreversible.

7.2 Privacy Deletion & Account Erasure Requests

In addition to self-service deletion controls, you may request complete account termination and full erasure of all associated personal data pursuant to applicable privacy regulations (such as GDPR or CCPA). 7.3 Guest Session & Financial Data Retention

  • Guest Uploads: Temporary guest uploads that are not claimed or linked to an active account or completed purchase are purged automatically on a regular operational schedule.
  • Statutory Financial Ledgers: Transaction reference numbers, payment receipts, and credit balance audit trails are preserved for standard statutory periods to comply with legal, taxation, and anti-fraud accounting regulations.

8. Security of Your Personal Data

We employ robust technical and organizational security measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser, our web services, and AI rendering providers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3).

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

TrendSwap is strictly intended for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect, process, or solicit personal data or photographs from minors under 18 years of age.

Uploading images of minors is strictly prohibited under our Terms of Service. If we discover or have reason to believe that an uploaded photograph depicts a minor, we will immediately delete the image, terminate any associated rendering jobs, and purge the associated account. If you suspect a minor's likeness has been uploaded, please report it immediately to support@trendswap.app.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements to our AI video generation services or legal requirements. When updates occur, we will revise the updated_at date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated via website notices or email.
