Who is A2O LITE?

A2O LITE is a new K-pop girl group from A2O Entertainment, the company founded by SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo-man. Their debut single "NEON" came out on 13 October 2026 at 6 PM Korean time and starts with a two-person dance intro. Twenty-nine hours later it was No. 1 on the Melon TOP100. On 14 October, choreographer J-Black said he co-created the duo opening (MakeViral, citing SBS).

How the challenge spread

• 14 October 2026: the first covers: @way_hyx's night solo (266,100 views) and @wendyyyxi's duo with a friend in a glass-roof atrium (92,300 views).
• 14 October 2026: the first AI version, @rroyhew54's "A2O MEOW": two AI cats dancing the intro in a lilac studio (27,500 views).
• 16 October 2026: SBS reports that NEON meme videos are trending, including AI versions with film characters.
• 17 October 2026: #a2olite reaches 4,656 videos and 136.9 million views.

A2O or A20?

The group is A2O LITE, with the letter O. On TikTok it is often typed with a zero, so you will see "a20 lite neon" too. Both lead to the same trend.
